	tl;dr:
I am a freelance graphic designer who specializes in programming and documentation of signage and wayfinding projects.&#38;nbsp;Full story:

I received my bachelor’s degree from the University of Cincinnati, and participated in the robust co-op program. After graduation, I relocated to Boston to join the Arrowstreet team as a graphic designer, earning my Associate promotion in 2017.&#38;nbsp;At the end of 2019, I relocated to Washington state and continued working remotely as part of the Arrowstreet Graphic Design Studio until April, 2020.

Since April 2020, I started freelancing full time working with graphic studios around the country. I’ve had the opportunity to tailor my skills and interests to collaborate with graphic design studios during the programming and documentation phases of a project. I typically join a project just after concept design, and will be hands on through shop drawing reviews.&#38;nbsp;
In addition to my typical choice in work,
I will occasionally work on small branding+identity projects and associated marketing materials.

In my personal life, I find joy and inspiration from road tripping with my husband and our dog Melody, tracking down the newest plant shop, and organizing my life into a series of spreadsheets. Other passions include getting the most out of my yard for gardening, volunteering at the local humane society, and participating in a community garden project. Most recently, my personal projects have incorporated dog illustrations, embroidery, and sewing patches onto my denim jacket.

I’m always looking for new opportunities to grow my design skills, collaborate with other design professionals, and trade favorite recipes. Please feel free to reach out if you have any interest in working together, you can email me at:

	Greybarn Signage + Wayfinding2016

Signage throughout the site of Greybarn, a mixed-use neighborhood, leads visitors to shopping destinations, residential complexes, and public parks. The concept design behind the signage family uses elements that relate to the gambrel-style buildings and the rustic feel of Amityville, NY.

Dimensional letters are painted wood mounted to a wood veneer panel. Decorative frames mimic the molding on the building roofs.&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp;

	Multi-tenant Office Signage2019

This project is an adaptive reuse, multi-tenant office building. Working as the sole graphic designer, I was responsible for the exterior and interior signage, from concept design and sign location plans, through shop drawings and on site reviews. The signage system consists of building identification, tenant directories, and tenant directionals on each of the upper levels.

The logotype was developed as a combination of the client’s existing branding system and a no to the historical granite letters inset in the brick facade. The condensed typeface also compliments the narrow windows on the front of the building. &#38;nbsp;The orange accent color matches the client’s branding colors and the dark gray coordinates with architectural finishes throughout the space. &#38;nbsp;

The tenant directories and the tenant directional signs were designed with easily removable and replaceable panels to accommodate future tenants. The layering of the panels creates dynamic shadows that play with the existing brick’s rough texture.

Signage located behind the security desk was designed with painted faces to match the wall color and bright orange returns for a subtle suprise as visitors pass by. The building identification is cohesive from the outside to the inside without competing with architectural elements in the main lobby.

Completed while working at Arrowstreet.
Tenant names have been shown with placeholder text for privacy.

		<description>Towson Town Center2016–2018

As the second project working with GGP (now Brookfield), Arrowstreet was tasked with reimaging Towson Town Center’s visitor experience while navigating the large retail site. Project scope included rebranding and color coding the parking structures, creating a new Towson logotype, and designing exterior site wayfinding, entrance portals, wayfinding signage, and interior mall directionals.

Large pylon signs are located at each of the four (4) entrances into the site identifying anchor stores, key tenants, and parking structures easily accessible from that location. These pylons were designed with a vertical orientation to keep messages visible above cars waiting for the light to change.&#38;nbsp;
Across the property, the client installed a parking guidance system to help aide visitors in selecting which parking structure to use. These displays were incorporated into several sign types; including the major vehicular directions, entrance “portals” to the parking structures, and general overhead vehicular signage within each structure.&#38;nbsp;At locations where the parking entrance is parallel to the drive lane, blade signs were incorporated for clearer identification. At night, the entire symbol illuminates creating a brightly colored beacon.

As the lead graphic designer on the project, I was responsible for drawings from concept design through construction administration and a site wide punch list.

Completed while working at Arrowstreet.

	Towson Town Center Interior Signage2017–2018

Signage within Towson Town Center was completely redesigned to match the strategy and look of the exterior and parking structure signage. The existing signage was color coded by level of the mall, which directly conflicted with the new color coding system of the parking structures. The new look simplifies the interior system to utilized the “Towson Brown” across all levels and leaves the color to correspond to parking alone.&#38;nbsp;
Signage components included overhead signage, level directory pylons, and parking identification blade signs.

Completed while working at Arrowstreet.

Gaze Optical is an optical shop in Watertown, Massachusetts. The idea behind the logo is to represent a crystal ball that one would gaze into. In the marketing materials, the ball feature was played up, and resembled a looking glass.

	spel te huur
2019

A couple friends of mine approached me to create a logo for their board game rental website.&#38;nbsp;In the future, the plan is to assist them in developing marketing collateral, such as business cards, and stickers.&#38;nbsp;

Spel te Huur is dutch, literally meaning “game for rent”. The dice represents the game aspect, while the fluffy, welcoming sheep is iconic to the dutch origin.&#38;nbsp;

Final output of artwork and collateral may be different from images shown below.&#38;nbsp;&#60;img width="3000" height="1800" width_o="3000" height_o="1800" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/e7621beb8772916e91d2b37c2cdc9469b4a82bc7b6f25e72f58af7e7e937ef27/SpelteHuur_Logo.jpg" data-mid="50091863" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/e7621beb8772916e91d2b37c2cdc9469b4a82bc7b6f25e72f58af7e7e937ef27/SpelteHuur_Logo.jpg" /&#62;

		<description>ULI Sponsorship OpportunitiesBoston&#38;nbsp; &#124;&#38;nbsp; 2014–2017

ULI approached me in the Fall of 2014 to design a new Sponsorship Opportunities brochure, sent out to current and prospective members detailing the member benefits for the upcoming year. The redesign included a new cover format, interior layout, and standardization of hierarchy while still maintaining the existing ULI “look &#38;amp; feel”.
For the Sponsorship Brochures of 2015 and 2016, the cover featured a large image of Boston spanning the front and back cover. To keep things interesting for renewing members, in 2016 the cover went through another redesign featuring more illustrative artwork and a texture created from words reflective of ULI and their mission.
All variations of this brochure utilized branding elements, photographs and written content provided to me by ULI Boston/New England.
