Towson Town Center

2016–2018

As the second project working with GGP (now Brookfield), Arrowstreet was tasked with reimaging Towson Town Center’s visitor experience while navigating the large retail site. Project scope included rebranding and color coding the parking structures, creating a new Towson logotype, and designing exterior site wayfinding, entrance portals, wayfinding signage, and interior mall directionals.

Large pylon signs are located at each of the four (4) entrances into the site identifying anchor stores, key tenants, and parking structures easily accessible from that location. These pylons were designed with a vertical orientation to keep messages visible above cars waiting for the light to change.

Across the property, the client installed a parking guidance system to help aide visitors in selecting which parking structure to use. These displays were incorporated into several sign types; including the major vehicular directions, entrance “portals” to the parking structures, and general overhead vehicular signage within each structure. At locations where the parking entrance is parallel to the drive lane, blade signs were incorporated for clearer identification. At night, the entire symbol illuminates creating a brightly colored beacon.

As the lead graphic designer on the project, I was responsible for drawings from concept design through construction administration and a site wide punch list.
