Alaska Calendar

2017

At the end of the summer in 2017, my family and I embarked on a 15 day trip through Alaska. We began the trip in Denali National Park, took a train to Seward, and cruised (quite literally, on a cruise ship) through the Gulf of Alaska down to Vancouver.

(If you ever get the opportunity to ride a 360-degree view train, do not pass it up.)As a memento, I created a calender for my parents, including some of their favorite images of the trip. Sprinkled throughout the calender pages, the viewer can find personal family events and important dates, moon phases for my dad’s astronomy passion, and anecdotal snip-its from our travels. Images are sized at 4”x 6” with the intention of cutting out the main image after the month and mounting in a series of frames.

All photographs were taken by either myself or Erik Tait.

Completed as a gift.
